The ELR Solutions Interface Development Team represents a group with diverse skill sets, and includes informaticists and clinicians. The project team is lead by Bala Hota MD MPH, a medical informaticist and attending physician at Stroger Hospital of Cook County. The teams members from CDPH are Joshua Jones MD (Medical Director for Public Health Informatics), Cristal Simmons, MPH (Project Manager and epidemiology subject matter expert) and Jill Snider (Technical Lead). Under the direction of Bala Hota, MD, MPH, in 2008 the team successfully deployed the first ELR implementation between CDPH and a healthcare facility.
